This is the Privacy Policy for arthurfert.com, a personal portfolio operated by Arthur Fert. It is kept intentionally short: this site is static, does not track you, and is designed to collect as little data as possible.
1. Who is responsible?
Data controller: Arthur Fert - contact via contact@arthurfert.com. If you have a privacy question, that is the best way to reach me.
2. What data is collected?
This site does not use analytics, advertising, or a newsletter. By default:
- No account is required and no profile is created.
- No form data is stored on the site. If you email me, your message and address are handled by your and my email providers only to reply to you.
- No cookies are set by this site itself. Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored locally in your browser via
localStorageand never sent to a server.
3. Hosting and infrastructure
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers / Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process basic technical logs (e.g., IP address, user agent, request time) as needed to deliver the site securely and reliably. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). When fonts are loaded, Google may receive your IP address and browser information as part of a normal web request. If you prefer to avoid this, you can block third-party fonts in your browser.
4. External links
Project cards link to external sites such as GitHub and LinkedIn. When you follow those links, their privacy policies apply. I do not have control over their practices.
5. Your rights
If you have contacted me by email, you can ask me to delete the conversation at any time. Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR in the EU), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data you have shared. Contact me at contact@arthurfert.com to exercise them.
6. Retention
Emails are kept only as long as needed to maintain the conversation. Server logs, if any, are managed by Cloudflare and retained according to their retention policy.
7. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date. The version published here always supersedes previous versions.
